MiA wrote her first song at age 4. The chorus went: “I’m a woman and I deserve a crown, I’m a woman and I deserve a guard.” Since then, music has been inextricable — almost like a witness to her life, replacing family, friends, and lovers. Music helped her express emotions and stay happy while being deeply sad. Listening, singing, composing. Any form. The connection.
